What is an avatar? The New Oxford American Dictionary, 2nd Edition defines it as such:

An incarnation, embodiment, or manifestation of a person or idea.

As such, one’s avatar should be representative of one’s personality and ideals. For as long as I have been online, my avatar has been that of a dragon, specifically various representations of Bahamut, a fictional dragon character from Square-Enix’s Final Fantasy™ universe (that’s also where my nickname, BahamutZERO, comes from. BZ was Bahamut’s most powerful form in hit RPG Final Fantasy VII). Bahamut conveys the values of strength, heroism and intelligence.

My current avatar is that of Bahamut from Final Fantasy IX, in which he is depicted as a lizard-like creature without garments or other accessories which have appeared in Final Fantasy X and Final Fantasy VII Advent Children.
